Which rockers

Vettenuts, you have a valid point about valvetrain geometry and guide wear. I had three aftermarket cams in my 346 and always had my black magic marker handy to check geometry. For the time being, I have to reuse my 5.3L heads on the 408 Erik is building for me, so I had a valve job done, after about 50,000 miles guides were still good to go.
Just remember if you don't get shaft mounts the price just went up for hardened pushrods so don't leave the extra cost out of the price equation. If all that's bothering you is the coil pack location why not just relocate them? You don't sound like you're all that convinced that the YTs are all that bad anyway.
Space in my engine compartment is tight, and Im not using LS1 coils to start with. So even if I got a coil relocation kit......it wont be any use to me, at least not without some work..
And I dont want the hassle of making new brackets, and associated wiring/HT leads...add to that cost of spacers or new valve covers, as well as the valvetrain itself. It soon adds up.
Although some of the custom alloy valve covers would be worth it on appearance alone.
As it is, I adapted the stock brackets to mount my coils, and no 8 coil sits barely 1/8th" below the brake booster. Space really is that tight there ( engine is bolted solid )
I already have 7.4" chromoly pushrods.
I did break a pushrod once....but I think was was partly my fault. Aside from that, I personally havent had any issues with the YT's
Either way, I want more lift, so one way or another the YT's will be going.
So does anyone know if these

will fit under stock valve covers ???
Cost is an issue, but at the same time I dont mind paying for quality product, and the exchange rate is pretty good for me buying from the US.

Damn, you Brits must be loaded $$$. You have an unbelievable ride, you're very close to 9's and 150+, just bite the bullet and buy a little larger cam and be done with it. Do a search and you'll find the real pros don't screw with a rocker compromise so their cam seems bigger than it is. The rocker arm stuff is smoke and mirrors.
Not loaded, but with the exchange rate at something like $1.90 to £1.00, its good, although we get nailed on import duties which usually add around 20%.
And who says a bigger cam will do what I want ??? I was specced a 23x/24x on 114 to acheive my initial 10s/140+ goals. TBH, Im glad I didnt take that advice.
Believe me, I thought long and hard before selecting the cam I did. The car idles nicely at 800rpm, and drives equally well. I will not fit a bigger cam in fear of hurting that. There are no drag strips in Ireland, and I have to get a ferry and drive to England to find a drag strip, so its primary use is as a fun road car. So things like a smooth idle, fuel economy etc do matter to me ( and fuel at like £4.50/$8.50 per gallon )
IMO I dont need a bigger cam.
The 9 is there already, as my 60fts just need improved, current best was 1.73, but the 10.04 run was a 1.758.. I missed 4th gear on the 1.73 run
And when the track I was at is so busy, you queue for 2 hours between runs....it makes it all the harder to actually nail it down. Hopefully at a different venue I'll do it, although that track doesnt open til late March.
Im still baby'ing the launches to a degree, as Im learning with the new MT DR's and teh traction they have available, and I want to upgrade my driveshaft, and get my new cryo'd/Viper OPS T56 from Joe, which should be here very soon.
I also cant be bothered swapping the cam as already mentioned. This car is near completion, as it has far exceeded my initial goals ( I just wanted comfortable 10's and 140+ ), and no doubt I'm going to fall foul of safety regs that are starting to get implemented in the UK, which may mean I cant race at all ! ( we currently have none for street cars aside from a helmet for 100+mph cars ) )
I want to change the rockers, and I want a little bit more lift.
I think I'm going with the Jesel SS 1.75's.
A little searching would appear to suggest they will fit under modified stock valve covers.
Thanks for teh suggestions.. Merry Xmas
