Nice John, so how much weight will that k member save?
Oh BTW, the links for the top line of pictures with the actual motor install and the pics in the back of your truck are pointed to the K member pictures instead of their own.

Thanks carl for the "heads up".

I am fixing it now. ( I hope I am at least)

Weight savings? 45 pounds or so.

John, with all that has been done to the Pepper, 10.50's might be conservative as far as what ET to expect. Your car is going to ROLL!

Raughy <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

For your temp PS delete mod did you just connect the two lines that used to go into the PS pump? That's what it looked like to me in the pics...
Are you getting a manual rack? One of Madman's?
Lookin' good

Dropping the motor any tranny out from the bottom would be ideal. However, since we didn't have the luxury of a lift (the car was on jackstands) it had to come out from the top.

I can't believe you got the motor and tranny out as an assembly! Pretty cool. I've never even considered trying that in a 4th gen... <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Campbell is a certified NUT. No doubt haha.

I always install my motor from the top, but never with the T56 attached. Too funny!

That looks all too familiar <img src="gr_emb.gif" border="0">

Never seen anyone pull the motor + tranny from the top! I usually unbolt the tranny and the motor comes out very easy.

Seeing the motor in the back of your truck reminds me of the times I have hauled mine back and forth to the machine shop.

Best of luck John <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

That motor being fresh now should show some power all on it's own. Not to mention the other things you wrote about.

Good luck! <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

I know of folks who have installed K-members by supporting the motor while it was in the car. That's what I will be doing when I do mine.

I've been doing that since '93. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> It's WAY easier that way. You don't even have to remove the hood, just unhook the shocks and prop it up a bit.
