cam selection
cam selection i bought two used cams for a great price.
1) LS1 Hotcam 525 218/228 112 lsa
2) MTI C2 581 224/224 114lsa
I want a cam that will give me good power with a mean lope. Ive heard the hotcam clips and the cam sounds awesome however, i dont want to leave alot of power on the table. I've heard great things about the C2 cam however, i dont know if the lope will sound as good as the hotcam. Additionally, the lift on the C2 cam makes me feel like the valvetrain components will wear alot faster.
I plan the run the car as a DD with stock ls6 heads and a ls6 intake. Does anyone know if the lope is alot different between the cams? And how much power would like leave on the table? My goal is to have a 400 rwhp with tune. I already have headers, full exhaust, slp lid/filter and LS6 clutch.
