im thinking of changing out the stock muffler. i have FLPS, and with the ORPs the stock muffler is damned loud. wondering what mufflers are out on the market to quiet the car down some-ihave a cutout so flow isnt that important. i know a guy selling an slp dual dual- how are those on the decible meter <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

The dual-dual is about as quiet as you can get! My friend has that w/ a S2 heads and Cam and LT's w/ OR-y. that thing is LOUD!!! but through that dual-dual it sounds like a regular LS1 with a misfire...

The dynomax ultraflow is pretty dang quiet too!..a litttle too quiet!

yes i agree, the SLP dual dual muffler is so freaking quiet. especially with stage 2 heads and cam longtube headers and an off road y-pipe, it's still quiet.

i have a cutout, so i dont care about how much it flows. i want QUIET. sucks on the expressway with my sensitive ears <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Dynomax super turbo 3" in 3" out, 11x14x5.5". Nice quiet and high flowing muffler. About 5# lighter than stock too.

trust me the slp[ dual dual is quieter than the stock z28 exhaust. honest, i compared my exhaust to a buddy's with a stock z28 exhaust and mine was noticeably quiet.

I can vouch that the Dynomax Ultra Flow Race Welded (whatever the name is hehe), is quieter than stock. Outflows it too. Probably very similar flow #'s and sound level to the dual dual, except it's only 95$ or so. You could probably pick up the dual/dual cheap from someone who upgraded though (it's like 600$ normally!)
