Need some help with my throttlebody please
Need some help with my throttlebody please I just swap it with a stock ported one. I have the TR224 cam and it ilded like crap so since the TB was out I drilled the hole to 13/64 and now the car idles pretty goosd when sitting there, but when I take off or give it a little rev the idle stays at about 1400 rpm for like 2-3 secs then goes back down. what can this be?? Is there a fix to this?
Re: Need some help with my throttlebody please You might have gone too big with the hole; Your IAC is not able to compensate within the targeted time (are you throwing any codes?). There was a guy who made a stepper motor controller that controlled the IAC; I can't find it or the link anymore. Anyone know?

Re: Need some help with my throttlebody please If you do an idle relearn make sure you disconnect the MAFT (if you have one). Reattached the MAFT after the procedure is complete. If you do it with the MAFT on your car will learn in the MAFT and go excessively lean or rich (depending on which was you had is skewed for when you did the relearn.) Just some helpful advice. Took me awhile to figure this one out.
