who has pics of there ported oil pump taken apart? and where do you get the shims from to shim the oil pump? Id like to do this to this 02 oil pump for better oil flow and higher oil pressure for high rpm's.
looks like the oil pump comes apart pretty easily, but havent messed with it yet. I tried the search, but havent found ANY pics of a "ported" oil pump.

the shim goes in behind the spring (take off hex head screw on side). Not sure where to get the shims but a washer of a known thickness should do the trick!

ok cool thats what I expected to see. does the cover just come off with the cover bolts?

anyone know what thickness for the shim under the spring?

Yes, they just unscrew like any other bolt. By porting alone, my idle and running oil pressure increased by about 8 and 12 PSI respectively. I suspect that the shims are about .100" thick, but this is purely a guess. In my opinion, it's nice to have more flow rate, but I seriously doubt that more pressure is warranted. There have been some posts on this sort of thing before and that seems to be the consensus.
