On the LS1 engine.....
on the driver side cylinder head at the front of the head, is that brass bolt sticking out with the sensor in it the water temp fitting?? If so, I've found where to install my Autometer mechanical water temp gauge.

Yes. You'll have to have a fitting to keep the stock sensor also, though. And I've heard you cannot tap into the existing sensor wire to run a separate gauge. There are other places on the block to put a fitting, if you'll do a search you'll find a thread.
Well this was my thought. Find a Y fitting that will screw into the head and on one point of the Y screw back in the stock sensor and on the other point screw on the Autometer sensor. Will this work or will I have an inaccurate reading??
