bent pushrod Think I bent one...Missed a shift...not the common downshift overrev. I thought it was in gear and hit the gas. Didnt think it bounced off the limiter tho. Anyway I have a miss. Drove it from Steele to Atlanta. Symptoms....no smoke...no tick just a miss. My b1 strims kept trying to add 25% gas while my b2 strims bounced around 0%. Soo....I'm thinking that its an intake valve pushrod not opening the valve enuff to get enuff fuel and showing lean on the b1 o2 sensor. Anyone ever bent one that didnt tick? I would think maybe an injector if its not a pushrod. Oh yeah...no misfires at all on atap. Can you buy just one pushrod or do you have to buy a set? Thanks guys...thought I could avoid bending one <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: bent pushrod I had two bent ones. Visually, one was barely noticeable except to roll it on glass. The second one, an exhaust valve pushrod, was bent in the dead center to about a 3-degree angle. My car dynoed 317-rwhp with a ported MAF and cutout, while that pushrod was in there. The car never missed a beat - no ticking and it never threw a code.
It's quick and simple to check the pushrods on an LS1. It would take you a MAX of 2 hours (if you dick around and drink a beer or two) to swap all of them out if you had to.
I got mine at the dealer, they were $11.59 each.

Re: bent pushrod My want to check I hit the rev. limiter a few times really no biggie but when I pulled my heads of I had 8 bend push rods and one bent valve. Think that might be why I'm one second off?
