Default Is there an AFPR for the LS1 ????

They have one for the LT1 cars but what about the LS1 cars??
Any one using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator in an LS1 yet?

Reason being I out my lid on last night and the after driving around for a while threw a code, it was lean bank 1 & 2. I reset the PCM, and it coded again after some driving. I took the lid off, left the MAF ends on and have no codes. Does the lid just allow to much airflow?

Are you sure you sealed up the lid & MAF properly the first time? I've never seen anybody throw a lean code from just a lid & MAF ends except when there was a leak allowing unmetered air in.

What other mods do you have?

My mods are simple, Holly Powershot, Maf ends, and Whisper lid. I do have one question. Does the front lip of the Whisper lid go behind the bottom box lip? Anyone got a nice pic of the front of their lid?

Thanks.

The front lip goes behind the lower airbox lip.

OK, thanks PSJ ! That is how I had the lid on. Wonder where the heck it could be leaking from then?

Or can it be that the lid and MAF ends just flow to much air and the PCM can't add enough fuel to compensate?

I think you have a leak. I only have one friend in like four year who had that problem.

As a test, put your car back to stock and check your LTRIMs after 10 - 15 miles. If they are normal, add the lid only and recheck (allow some mileage). Then add the MAF and check again.

There are people who add heads & cam without going so lean as to trip that code...somethings up here. Make sure the bellows between your TB and MAF does not have a hole in it and that it is secured properly to your TB and MAF.

OK so last night I took off the MAF ends and installed the Whisper lid with stock MAF! Drove around 15 min, plus another 15 min drive this morning to work and no codes. I have also driven around for days with just MAF ends and stock lid.

If it throws no codes on the way home tonight, I'l put the MAF ends on with the Whisper lid again and see what happens. It is somehting with this combo I supect.

What on the AutoTap should I be watching? A/F ratio ? and what else?

Thanks!

LTRIMs. This will tell us if you are running lean and the computer is adding extra fuel.
