Default 1.8 Crane rocker install tip

Hey everyone, I found a better way to install the rocker studs imho. Instead of using the adjusting nut and set screw to torque the stud to the head, I used some 3/8-24 fine thread jam nuts and locked them together on the stud. I then torqued the the stud to the 25 ft/lbs. and then loosened the nuts. Worked great! This way you can avoid using the allen head wrench or socket which seem to always wear easy. Yeah, I did a similar thing. The big problem i had was when I was trying to get the studs out of the head. That took alot more than a set of jammed nuts for some reason. Local shop had this really nice Snap-On "stud removal" kit that worked amazingly well adn didnt harm the threads.

Good luck with the 1.8s, I hope they work better for you than they did for me...
