i ported my mass air flow and descreened my mass air flow should i expect any noticable gains??? I also want to do the ERG mod, is that mod worth it? will expect to feel a difference? i have also heard that mod is risky? and will i pass emmisions by doing that??

Some people report SOTP gains from a ported MAF. I don't think 10 hp is incredibly noticable, so it depends on how sensitive your bottom is.

The 98s seem to benefit the most from ported MAFs, a lot of 98 owners reported improvements of about a tenth to a tenth and a half in the quarter mile. It was definitely a good mod on my 98, a very noticeable difference. 99-02s don't seem to benefit as much, and many run into detonation problems too.

Some people have even noticed a slight hesitation when doing this mod also. Good luck!

I did both of these with my 98 well over 2 years ago and I have had no codes and passed emissions with 0's acorss the board.

Sounds good, but I don't care for the EGR mod since so many people have problems afterwards with sealing it.
