Default Ticking has got me thinking of a solid lifter set up, good idea?

My engine is always ticking and after my dealership told me it was normal, I finally got it to another one today and they said normally, they don't do anything either but she would try since I said I've got a few friends who have had the dealer replace the lifters and it all went away. I was wondering, if they call back and say the rep wouldn't let them do anything to it, then asuming it is lifters, would a good fix be to go with a solid lifter set up? That would at least give me a real excuse as to why it's so noisy. I think someone said that Thunder Racing would have a kit out to do this soon, is it out yet? How much would it cost? I just hate this never ending ticking

Well, got my car back today. Said they tried their best to find a fix for the ticking but couldn't come up with any. I said, why didn't you just replace the lifters like several other people I know who then had the ticking go away, and she said they can't prove that thats what it is so ****, I hate GM customer service, the rep wouldn't help out at all either. It's like GM doesn't care about their customers. Anytime my mom has a problem with her expedition, she drops it off at Planet Ford near by that night and has it ready to go the next day at noon with all problems fixed. Maybe I should have gotten a Cobra. Ha, no I wouldn't but I wish they would care more about the customer. Im gonna have to go call up GM again and see what they say, if not, my mom works for a law firm, could come in handy

The reason the FORD( god I hate sayin that word) gets fized so quickly is b/c they know its messed up anyway to they might as well fix it now and cause it will surely have something bad wrong with the next time you call .... but with a chevy they know it will last forever so they dont even want to worry with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
