How much can I shave heads?

i would say right off without new pushrods you would want no more than 30 cut off em.
give or take a "little" but thats about it.
lifter preload becomes a issue after that much.
i have heard some taking up to 60 off em with new shorter pushrods.

I had .030 taken off mine as well.I have shorter pushrods also though.

I know you can go up to .040 before you run into problems with manifold alignment etc. You'll just have to shim up the rockers or use shorter pushrods. But .040 is the most I've heard of without any problems.
