LS1 solutions lid ....
Got one here.
I am very happy with it. It is made a lot more durable than a lot of the other lids(a lot thicker plastic). It is about 1 and 1/2 years old already. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

John, is the lid black or gray in color? It looks black but so did the whisper lid that is gray in person. The link I found is www.ls1solutions.com. It has info and pics.

What I like about it is that it has no logos on the airbox and has the rounded edges like the Direct flow but clearly has more internal volume. Sounds like not to many people have it though...
Joe,
It is black. The finish is very textured. I placed the OEM ram air sticker onto it, but I had to sand down the finish under the sticker for it to stick properly. I compared it to a whisper lid and bought it because it was a lot more durable and the airflow looked smoother. When I first put it on, you were able to hear the air going through it, now I am used to it. It fits perfectly also.
I bought it when they were first introduced for a fair amount less, but they got into a selling agreement with another vendor that markets it as their own lid. I guess part of the agreement was to sell it at a higher cost under the LS1Solutions name. I bought it before this agreement/contract was made.
I don't have a picture of it, but I recently ordered a digital camera, so if it comes it I will take a picture of it.

Their selling point is that at the rear or their lid it is tall all the way across rather than tapering at the end like "Brand-W". I propose that tapering towards the outsides of the lid close to the MAF is actually a good thing. It better guides the airflow smoothly towards the MAF entry instead of having the air hit a large flat wall creating a pocket of more turbulent air.
Ok, let's say you're WAY drunk off your *** on moonshine and you *think* you're being chased by the Predator to your open hotel room door at the end of the hall. You're weaving back and forth and bumping the walls but as you approach your room, the hall narrows down to the width of your now sacred hotel room door! In your drunken stupor and with your shoulder sliding not so gracefully down the hall wall, you manage to slide into the door just before the Predator fires his photon torpedoes! You pass out on the floor and all is well until you wake up the next afternoon in a puddle of...well, anyway. Point being, you're alive! Now, what if the hall hadn't tapered to the door? Would you have hit the wall just beside the door face first and gotten nuked, skinned, and then hung up in a large tree by the Predator? NO, you drunken fool! He wasn't real in the first place! But you DID run into that wall face first, knocked yourself out, and slept there in the hall instead of on your comfy Hotel room floor. ...Not that I've ever done this.
I'm no aerodynamics expert by any means. Just my somewhat twisted take on the matter.

Colonel, I liked your 1st paragraph but you lost me on the 2nd one."
Did I really lose you? Ok, the drunkard is the air, the doorway is the MAF sensor, the hall is the lid, the moonshine helps to recreate the turmultious nature of flowing air, and the Predator was just giving us a damn good reason to try to get through that door in a major hurry!
Oh well, glad you liked the first paragraph.
