Default SLP vs. MTI vs. ARE vs. Other???

I am doing some research on the engine packages offered by each of these companies...I know Lingenfelter and some other companies also have motor packages. I haven't heard too much on the 382/500 that SLP offers, but I am sure many of you have done this same type of research and would care to comment on the pros/cons or non-listed/obvious differences between some of these different packages. Just to clarify, I am referring to Stage/Level 2 work. I know MTI has the 7.0L Stroker now too for the SS. Anyone with input on that?

Go with ARE or MTI for complete motor packages IMO. With heads and cam there are a few additional choices. (JPR, GTP, Cartek, and a bunch more.)
Cheers,

id say go with ARE, they are pretty bad *** imho. MTI is a great company also, but id kinda want to be different, everyone has mti and im sure for a reason, but ARE will make a great package too. either way, you set up. laters

Sorry, most of the "different" and pioneering on LS1s happened two years ago. Anything you choose now won't really be "different". TONS of cars have been modified by both shops.

Now, if you are referring to the Houston area, then yes ARE would be different.

Pricing for the MTI 7.0L in an F-body? See this post:

Not true, I believe there will be a fairly significant jump in horsepower of normal packages this year. Electric water pumps with reverse cooling, better computer tuning, new intakes and head designs. Not to mention cam and valvetrain design for solid roller setups and newer turbo tuning techniques.

I think there's a lot left sitting in the LS1/LS6 motors still. And I plan to be one of the guys that finds (or funds) some of that potential.

There are also new head clamping, head fastening and block techniques developed by ARE too
