I thought I had my mind made with an F13 112.. but after reading this thread, it kind of scares me. Is the F13 not a good choice if I am eventually going to get LS6 heads, but as of now I will probably keep stock? Car will have LT's, already has LS6 intake, and SLP lid. I plan to drive it on the street more, but am looking for 400 rwhp, without robbing low end and midrange power. I have been trying to decide on a cam for 4 months now, and keep going back and forth. Not trying to steal a thread, but while the subject is open......
P.S.- Car is an M6, with stock gears but soon to be upgraded to 3.73's

For a daily driver stay with 224/224 or smaller.

Trust me it isnt bad at all.....It's a good cam. I start it up for about 2 min before I drive off and that is all. I can drive it with out being warm but it surges a little, and hardly stalls It's best is 11.80's @118 on stock 3.23 gears and the mods mentioned above with only 13k miles on the car!!!

You still need to let a 224 cam warm up. Anybody who tells you differently is just misinformed. And you just need to get the oil flowing some, and don't take it above about 2k rpms until it's up to temp. I drive my car just fine under 2k rpms. If you can't, you'd better get a better tuner.

I had great results with my 221 cam and could honestly could have seen 430 with heads. Only reason im going with something different is because the motor is out of the car.

Depends on how you want to use the car. The bigger cam will probably only get you another 12 rwhp peak and give up a decent amount in the low and midrange. If you do happen to go with the bigger cam, mill them heads down to bring your dcr back to where you want it. This will help liven up the midrange of the bigger cam.
I say if you are going with the budget heads now, stay with your current cam. Eventually you will probably do a larger motor or a larger shot of the happy juice. Save up for that, then when you do shoot for the rebuild get some top shelf heads(AFR, Trickflow, ETP, etc...) and then get a completely custom grind to your goals at the time.
I say save your money for the long run. Get the better gas mileage and driveability of the smaller cam right now and give of the 12 or so horse...at least N/A. My view probably will not be a popular one though.

If I didn't read your reply I would have definately ended up posting pretty much the same thing.
