422 is in! Results inside.
Once I get the ported throttle body put on next week, I should be very close to 500 RWHP all motor on a street car. The car is very, very fast, but now very traction limited. First and second gear burn the tires at will, and get you sideways before you know it. Also, don't really need a water pit, a linelock, or a full throttle dump to get a motionless burnout. Found that one out accidentally tonight at a traffic light. Also blew away a 'Stang on Westheimer this evening - it was so bad it wasn't even funny.
I would post the dyno here, but I do not have a web page. You can download it from my post in the engine section at LS1.com (thread ID 39428).

Yeah - I'll be sure to give you a ride once I get a better feel of how to keep the beast under control on the street. Incidentally, are you going to that get together tomorrow night?
I really do have to learn to drive it. When some jerk in an SUV decided to tailgate me in my neighborhood, I did a second gear punch at about 25, and quickly found myself sideways at 50. Oh, the guy stopped tailgating me after that
Bigbos - no blower just yet. It is almost enough already to make me **** my pants . I will do something with it in a year or two once it becomes a straight drag car. Maybe a 150 wet shot or something . . .

suppose to get installed in a week. I also have 315 Nittos DR on 11" AFS rims. Mine will be on a A4. Still with your discription on how it felt, I still can't visualize all that power!

Iam gonna have a similar engine in my car
How much would the 12 bolt & the tires/wheels affect your dyno ? If you had stock rear end & tires what would you dyno at ? I would appreciate your answer since Iam not familiar enough with the F-body.
Awesome setup!
I'm just getting into the LS1 world, but here's what wrapping around it:

Colonel: Yeah, I love it! Oh, and that horsepower vs. torque thread, I think I'll just take high torque/horsepower throughout the whole RPM range. Next question!!
xxxhp: The 12-bolt probably costs around 10-15 HP, the fat tires on heavy rims probably took another 10-12. I do have a CF driveshaft, though, which will give a *little* of this back.
Dan: As you would expect, very loud through the cutout. However, it is also very loud in an intimidating way through the Corsa when you stomp on it. It also has a beautiful lope at idle. No sleeper awards here.
LS1 Powered: Holy sh*t. An LS1 into an RX7?!? That'll be interesting - let us know how it goes. Also, I am terrible with names, so I know many Jeffs but not the last names. I'm embarrased to admit I don't even know the last name of "Jeff" who I was working with at MTI. I could get ribbed for this . . .
The 422 setup is certainly not the cheapest modification that you can do to your car to get these power levels. It does take dough, and for a number of years I was on the sidelines as a very poor student and was lucky to have a POS car that could even start - that sucked It is, however, a bargain to get this kind of performance level in a car all motor with a reputable shop standing behind it. And the only production car in the world that will have a better power band than you will be a million-dollar Bugatti. This motor is amazing - the *uncorrected* HP it pulled yesterday would have probably been just shy of 600 at the flywheel.
Going to head out to MTI this afternoon to get a ported throttle body and a little more computer adjustments. Hoping to get close to that magic 500 RWHP all motor number.
I know your going to have fun.
Drop me an e-mail after you get the ported throttle body, I'm curious to see what kind of gains you get from it.

Hey Sean - I will probably post the results of the throttle body as soon as I get them. Did you ever run that Supra, or is it still getting set up?
