Default Re: whats a good battery charger?

Everstart and Schumacher make 1.5 amp battery chargers specifically designed for storage applications. I own about 10 of them and have been using them for years. Walmart sells them, as well as TSC and several others. Walmart has the best price of the $24.95 - $34.95 range.

You can leave them connected forever since they charge to 13.8 volts and turn off untill charge drops to 13.2 volts before turning back on.

They are available to mount in the engine compartment, or with a two piece cable , half of which stays with the vehicle and the other half connects to the charger which you can mount on your garage wall.

I use them for trucks, racecars, seadoos, boats, tractors, snowmobiles - you name it.
