What year is your car?

You can access the correct wire from the top of the pcm. Run the signal wire thru the firewall.

With my Autometer tach I had to cut a wire in the back so it would read in the right mode. No Abbott thingamajig needed...

Someone else will have to chime in with the correct PCM pin-out for a '99 model, but you shouldn't need any sort of adapter to use this tach. Set it for 4-cyl, hook up the power, ground, tach, and wire for the lighting, and you're done.

On a '99 PCM on connector P2 (Red) it is pin #10, the white wire.

And as for you PSJ, [quote]No Abbott thingamajig needed...

you have a 4 cylinder capable tach you luck dog With the typical factory style OEM tach, you don't have this option

Default aftermarket tach questions

Hey guys,
I'm sorta a novice when it comes to wiring and the sorts but I bought an aftermarket sport comp monster tach for my 99 TA WS6 the other day and I decided to wire it up myself. My friend got a wire diagram from his work which didn't seem to help much. After taking off the dash I found that there was a big twine of wires which connects to the computer. Does anyone know which wire is the tach lead? And I understand I need a Abbott Electronic Ratio Adapter Box for the tach to read properly. Will this setup work?

Thanks for your help
