Default Opinions on next mod...

The mods are few and far between now so it's getting kind of hard to decide what I should do next. I'm relativley happy with the way the car is launching so no suspension changes yet. What do you think would net the most ET/MPH?

PA Racing Chromoly K member

or

JPR Electric Water Pump

How much weight do the K-members save?

Well while your changing the K member you might as well drop the motor and put a high compression 382 under those heads and since the motor would be down it would be real easy to change the water pump over. The water pump would be good with the high compression.
<img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Seriously though, If the pump is good for the numbers advertised it looks like a worthwhile mod. I would think they would be very close. Like BIGBOS said how much weight savings for the K member?

Neither, how about a TNT wet kit? <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> Can you says 10s?? <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> 28" ET Drags on a 15x10 Prostars would be needed, but that would be one hell of a ride. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

MOTOR MOTOR MOTOR MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
I think that the water pump would be a good shot b/c I am not too sure if I would want to disassemly my suspension for just a few pounds even though it would look very nice

Jason, you gotta quit saying that!! <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Trying to get the most out of it N/A before I start messing with N20. But if you get one then you know I would have to. <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

The chromoly K-member is 25.5#s lighter then the stock one, and A-arms are abut another 12lbs.

LOL, OK, I won't say that anymore. I don't plan on a TNT kit anytime soon either.

If you do plan on the k-memeber, I would do the mild steel. The chromemoly is only 1-2lb lighter than the mild steel and the mild steel would be better on the street. It is also cheaper.

What do you think I would gain in the 1/4 with it?

I would do (and did) the PA K member and A arms. you KNOW that that mod WILL help your ride.
Taking 44 pounds off the nose will help. A lot.

It is a proven mod that works. It also will help keep you from breaking other parts and will/should improve your 60's.

Good luck.

Thanks guys. 44lbs off the front includes dropping the front swaybar, which I have already done. So I'm looking at sheding ~35-40lbs with the k member and a arms for $850, the same price as the water pump. Hrm...
