Comp. 216/220 525 and 114 ls w/ stage 2 heads?
A freind of mine is going with this combo and I amtring to tell him he needs a bigger cam am I wrong to think so. He is the only one to drive his car an wants it to be fast I was wandering what would be a better cam that I can advise him on.
I have a custom comp. 222/226 561/569 lift and 114 ls but he was advised through a sponser that his choice was a better cam. I would like some of you guys opinions, so I can tell him.

that 216/220 is a nice little cam. all depends how much he wants to rev it and how the rest of the car is set up

Hey Steve,
Where does that cam make it power? Is that a good daily driver cam? What are some pros and cons to that cam?

how high are you going to or wanting to rev it?
it is a great cam for a daily driver. some cars have made as much as 430 rwtorque with it.
no idle upgrade needed for the pcm either.
for a dail driver that is wanting some good power, its great.

Me, I would go to bigger lift and more intake duration. The comp extreme 220/220 .56x would probably take better advantage of the flow capabilities of an S2 head. In the end, the shop doing his heads can tweak the porting to match whatever cam he chooses.
