Default Valve ?

OK my car is down from a nitrous backfire. number 4 cylinder only has around 30psi of compretion. I was thinking its the rings, but ive had several peeps tell me that its going to be the valves. ive already taken the head off that side and im no expert on it but the valves look fine. if it is the valve is it going to be something that i can see or something that im not going to notice. mabe i need to take the head in and let someone look at it. any ideas?

if its a valve you can usually hear the sound of the rushing air through either the intake or the exhaust when you have compressed air into the cylinder. did you notice anything like that?

hey this chris with sdpc it sounds like either you have a valve slightly bent and not closing all the way or check the cylinders on both sides to make sure its not just a head gasket...
if you check it out and happen to need heads shot me a pm and a will work a good deal with you....thank you

nitrous backfire? I bet it's a broken ring/piston more then a valve.

well i filled the runners on the head up with water on the troubled cylinder. it took it about 30 seconds but water started leaking through on the intake side. looks like i have a bad valve. hopfully nothing wrong with the bottom end.
