Cam specs for those that don't know
218/218 .561/.561 114LS
Peak 5700-5800 rpm. Power increase from idle up. Sounds like stock. No idle increase w/ 6spd. Autos will idle decent, but may need TB drilled.
224/224 .566/.566 114LS
Peak 6200rpm. Little to no torque loss below 2500rpm. Cam wakes up above 3000rpm. 3.73 w/ 6spd recommended. 3.42 w/ autos.
229/229 .578/.578 114LS
With our heads and this cam only RWHP gains of 90 are not uncommon. This cam is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Idles better than a 221-224 cam with a 112 LS but makes a lot more power. You will suffr a bit below 3000 rpm so 4.10's recommended in a 6spd and 3.73 in an auto.
