MAF / MAFH Questions
With the below mods to my '02, should I look into a larger MAF or MAF ends? I was told that the '01s and '02s run a bit more rich from the factory than previous years. I want to avoid the need for an MAFT. TIA

Re: MAF / MAFH Questions
Larger diameter MAF? No.
Ported MAF ends? Maybe.
Best idea would be to run some Autotap numbers on your current setup to see if it is running rich or lean, and to see where your current ignition timing is at. Then, if you find you are off on those values, just buy a MAF-Translator and fix the problem. You could probably get away with just running a stock screenless MAF and the MAF-T
Don't make changes to the MAF blindly, make sure you know what the car is doing first.

Re: MAF / MAFH Questions
Thanks for your help, Nine Ball. I would like to avoid the need to mess with the MAF in any way. I just figured the with the lid, filter, and cat-back I was brigning a good bit more air through the engine and I don't want to run her too lean. The PCM should "see" the increase in flow via the MAF signal, but I hear that this sometimes is not the case. ttt
