Default LS6 Intake question about EGR

I've gotten a good deal on an LS6 intake for 300 bucks. I just have to swap it out off the car it's on now. The intake is off a vette and has no EGR provisions. I dont have my EGR programmed out of my computer yet. If I put on the new intake and take the EGR off the car will it run like crap or just throw a code till I can get it programmed?

Thanks,

i have only one friend that has ditched his egr and NOT reprogrammed his computer. he resets the pcm every week or two so it will run ok for another week. i suggest finding a shop or a forum member that has ls1 edit to adjust the computer. whats the point in adding an intake that gives you more power then losing it all to a screwy pcm.

The EGR code has no effect on performance. Many people (including myself) drove around for many miles without any issues.

Also, make sure it is a LS6 intake. All the 'vette intakes did not have EGR so you can't just go by that.

Also the Vette manifold doesn't have a place to mount your throttle cable brackets. Not sure if you can make it work.
