Default How long do CarSound cats last ?

I did a search on these and it seems people think they are made of very poor quality. Patrick G blew out 2 sets ! I was wondering if anyone else has had a bad experience with them ? Good experience ? They are cheap and flow better than Random Tech, so I am considering the 3" in/out ones. But if they blow out every 6-12 months, I would rather get the Random Techs. Thanks.

It really depends on how the car is set up. If your tuning is wrong you could ruin the cats, but if the car is setup right the Catalyst should last awhile. As for the cat blowing out... don't know it could be a defect. Hope this helps.

Carsounds have a 5 year warranty, so if they don't hold up, you get a new one...

I agree about needing proper tuning. That is very important.

Cool, thanks for the input. I have custom tuning from MMS, so I think I should be okay in that department. After I get the cats, I will go back and get an adjustment if necessary.
