PCV VALVE
Here's one for you.Everybody has been
fighting the new "fitting",Came up with
one i used and been successful. Took the
pcv valve out installed 1/2"dia washer
from plumbing valve stem kit.I get a 5/32
dia. hole for vent like fitting. But still
keep pcv valve.Just push it all the way
into holder and reinstall valve <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">

Re: PCV VALVE
Real slow: go to home improvement store
buy a 1/2"dia."shower valve" washer.( yes,
the kind in your house)Remove PCV valve
from hose, insert washer into Pcv valve
holder (expanded section of factory line)
Reinstall PCV valve and reconnect!
NOTE:It's easier to remove holder from
line,it does pull off.You end up with a
functional valve with restricted to 5/32
dia.Works good no oil and no excess
pressure.Washer is called 1/2 dia.
or 25/32. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Re: PCV VALVE
How does our crankcase vent system passively switch to draw from the rocker cover with the least resistance(Helms page 6-1965)? Could this be the culprit in oil consumption? Is PCV valve responsible for which side gets drawn from? New pcv valve is hollow - how will it prevent oil from getting sucked into intake?

Re: PCV VALVE
SWILLS00Z,
As close as i have this figured is with throttle
closed, the line from passenger cover that plugs
to TB feeds air.Upon opening throttle the PCV
valve allows the motor to draw vapors from
engine. The restriction speeds up this air which
helps efficency, the other side is it also
turns the vent in front of TB into crankcase
ventilation. If unable to draw from PCV line
motor draws from pass.side vent line. The damn
thing works <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> At least for me.Trying another
car today with the cam from h8ll let U know!

Re: PCV VALVE
Well as Las Vegas Hawk said we did it on my car today and no problems at all. Like he said with my cam and heads it has seemed to work fine and it was real cheap to fix. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

Re: PCV VALVE
Thank's JESS
'Let's put some more miles on your car.
Or at least you,if it acts the same on
yours it's the restrictor. If not guess
who can give the TB a porting? Has to
be one or the other <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
