Default Fuel pump, please help!!

I was driving my car earlier today and ran out of gas, then i put about 5 gals in it and it wont start back up, i checked the fuel pump fuse, its good and i checked the relay its good too. I cant hear the fuel pump when i turn the key to the on position. Im wondering if the FP cutoff switch got tripped, i dont even know if there is one on this car but theres something behind the back seat, i looked under the car and theres a few wires going to a place behind the back seat so im wondering if that is a switch. My car is stuck at a 7-11 in the ghetto so please help me out.

hmmm...

if my memory serves me right, there is no fuel cut off switch on our cars. also, if youve run it out of fuel, and it sounds like you did, then you more than likley have killed the pump. it needs the fuel to keep cool. no fuel and the windings in the motor will melt....

sorry

just to check tho, open the hood and remove the cap from the drivers side fuel rail end. it will be close to the throttle body.

there will be a small valve on the end of the rail after the removal of the plastic cap, push in on that little brass rod thingy bud and you should have fuel shoot out at about 60 psi or so. be carefull cuz it should go every where.
