Put FLP's in yesterday
These were alot easier than I expected. The hole install took about 7hrs.We were being very picky on not scratching any thing and making sure everything was perfect.
There is no banging and they are tucked very close to the floor.I would not worry about lowering my car at all.
The sound is incredable.Quiet at cruise(almost stock with no resination)and sounds like a big block with glasspacks at WOT.
I also have sound clips if anyone is interested.
This is with no cats.
Hope this description helps people in the market for headers.
See ya

I am having my FLP Longtubes installed by FLP in March. I just posted in Help section. What kind of HP gains do you think I will see on '01 M6 Trans Am? I am also adding a Corsa or GMMG catback, I am concerned about too much noise inside, can you recommend (I heard Corsa is much queiter with FLP). Will I gain much more HP with catback?
Nice Tubes!!!
Every shop that I have talked to has insisted these headers require "massaging" the floor of the car (not really happy with that). I am getting these anyway since performance and ground clearance are important to me. I also like the cat/off road flexibility.
What's the secret to setting up these headers to avoid banging and floor massaging.
Could you send me those sound clips? Would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike
The trick on installing these is taking your time.We took time and thought about each step before doing it.Wasn't hard at all.The stock brace in the tunnel even fits without modding it.
As for hp gain,I'll be going back to the dyno in March to tune them in.I've seen posts of 20-30rwhp gains. We'll see.
