isn't there alot of valve tapping after bent push rods? I heard your car at OSW and it sounded quite. I concerned, I have hit the rev-limiter several times and I now wonder if I too have bent a few.

I was the lucky soul pulling pushrods from 99RagtopSS's motor... we were all in awe of how many bent ones there were. He missed a shift on the track that night... it must be when he bent them.
My car had visited the track twice as of the cam install on 8/4/01. That day we pulled two bent PR's from my car - one that was sharply bent in the middle, and the other was slightly bowed. I am in no way, shape or form rough on my car since 98% of its 30,000-mile life has been light street duty, so chances are if you've revved that motor up high with any frequency at all you've probably bent a pushrod, almost certainly if you've ever had the motor rev up violently as a result of a missed shift, etc.
The good news is that it's a 60-minute job to change out all 16 PR's. Crack the valve covers and check those PR's. I only replaced the bent ones in my motor, they're $11.59 each.
