Cam choice.....Is this possible??
Cam choice.....Is this possible?? Let's assume the following: Direct-Flo lid, 85mm MAF, Stock TB and LS1 intake, 2.05I & 1.60E valves, mild home-job on ports and bowls, Hooker longtube headers, dual 2.5" exhaust with X-pipe and 2.5" Delta Flow FM mufflers. Oh yeah; rearend and clutch will be taken care of long before this cam stuff.
Now then, is 400 peak RWHP AND 300 lb-ft. of torque down at 2,000 rpm possible?? I need a single-pattern cam (future plans call for an LS1 Motorsports single turbo kit.....).
Thunder 224°? Maybe a 226° .566" on a 112° LSA? [Or is a 112° LSA too tight for a turbo?]

Re: Cam choice.....Is this possible?? You may want Harlan's input on this, but for a cam, I believe HE has chosen a split duration cam, with a little more emphasis on the INTAKE side. GN guys have been doing this with good results, and Harlan is bringing it into the LS1 Turbo scene. Just a thought...
Re: Cam choice.....Is this possible?? Yes, I understand that a turbo specific cam will want more intake duration; but I can't get a turbo for many years. I want a good cam choice for N/A now that will be OK for a turbo in the future. I'd rather not do the cam twice just because I will be getting a turbo.
