Default HP Increase?

<img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" /> Fellow Tech Experts <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" />

I would like to get some opinion and suggestions for the HP and torque increase for the following modifications, which I plan to have done on my Camaro SS.

My stock vehicle is a 2002 M6, equipted with the SLP 345 HP package, which includes a Dual-Dual, and SLP Lid, which I would like to retain with the car.

My current RWHP/Torque 321HP/338ft-lbs
Current Engine Mods: MAF-T, SLP Bellow

Mods planning soon:
GMAF, Ported Throttle Body, MMS 218 Cam, JBA Cat4Ward Headers, Random Tech Cats, SLP Y-pipe, Nology Cables, Beru Silverstone Plugs, and custom PCM tuning (MMS).
I was hoping for 30 to 40 HP RWHP increase and remain Cal smog legal, can I get there?

Other Mods I am considering:
SLP 160 Degree Thermostat
Comp Cam Pro Magnum Roller Rockers

I mainly use the vehicle for weekend driving, occational spirited driving, and road racing.

Later, in the future, I plan on a 383 CID engine package.

Thanks in advance <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" />

Don't waste your money on it - stick with a descrenned stock maf and apply the funds you saved from this towards pro dyno tuning or LS1 Edit (depending on your inclination

Can't hurt, and is cheap - I would do it! Don't spend over 100 on it though (and it should be less than that)

[quote]MMS 218 Cam<hr></blockquote>

Sounds like a good choice! If anyone around you has this cam installed you might go for a ride - try and decide if you want to go bigger or if this cam is acceptable at it's level..

[quote]JBA Cat4Ward Headers<hr></blockquote>

Why not FLP's or MAC's? Visual Inspection issues?

Nology Cables
Beru Silverstone Plugs

Honestly I wouldn't bother with either of those. I know you want to feel like you did everything right, but at this point that is not a worthwile investment. You won't pick up any power over stock wires (new) more than likely, and certainly not over aftermarket wires. Even if there were anything to gain potentially in wires the LS1 wires are so short that the point is moot practically.

As for plugs I would stick with NGK TR-55's and apply difference elsewhere.

Good call on getting a custom tune! If Mike is doing your tuning you should confer with him also on issues like the GMAF, etc. since it will directly impact his work.

I see no problem with that at all! What I didn't see mentioned were things like valvesprings, pushrods, etc. - I assume this is "included" with the 218 cam and install?

Honestly probably going to hurt you emissions wise, but you should have plenty of room either way. It just depends on at what temp you want your car to run.

Comp Cam Pro Magnum Roller Rockers

I have not seen these available for LS1 vehicles. Your choices are crane 1.8's, or Jesel or TD shaft rockers. They are all easily over 600 dollars and not worth it power wise. The only reason to upgrade is if your valvesprings are killing the stock rockers. (they shouldn't with a hydrualic camshaft).

JBA Cat4Ward is the visual inspection <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">
Would love to have FLP, but that had to wait until I get out of California

MMS218 is what Mike recommend for being smog legal and pass the sniff test. If I wind up storking the engine, I can go with more aggressive cam.

Valve springs, guides, are all included in MMS valve package.

I already have the Nology wires, plugs, and GMAF, Christmas Present from last year.

Maybe I'll kill the Thermostat and Roller Rockers, and go with a set of push rods instead.

Thanks <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" />
