Unhappy What should I do?

Well I bought a great set of almost new 2006 LQ4 317's and they have sat in my closet for about 2 months waiting for install. Pulled them out today and noticed the valves have surface rust starting to form on them.

So.... 1. Is it possible to hit them with some sandpaper or the dremel tool?
Or.... 2. Just get new valves? (Would the LS6 sodium filled ones work?)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Oh yeah the rust is on the bottom of them in the combustion chamber, what you see when you flip a set of assembled heads over

if its on the chamber hitting them with a light sandpaper (1200 to1500 grit and wd40 )should make them look brand new as long as it not around where the stem goes through the guied you should be alright

also if you do the wd40 and sanding you may have to do it a day or two in a row

It's just on the flat part of the valve the heads are Aluminium. Thanks, I want to take care of this now before it spreads. Should I keep a light coat of oil on them til its time to use them?
