I'm sick of waiting for a decent intake manifold.

Woooo Hooooo, sure looks purty. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0"> How long are the runners? When are you gonna put it on? I'd love to see the numbers offf of that. Probably great for a stroker.

Currently 8.5" with some adjustable horn loaded stuff inside. ie; I can extend them. Plenum volume is also adjustable. My current 346 makes (corrected) 405rwhp. @ 6,300 rpm.
To be honest, I’m not sure of the outcome as it is experimental. I’m currently machining the plates to suit the valley. Then I’ll bolt it on and start with the adjustments. Should be fun. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
Once its all sorted, I'll lift the lid and you can have a sticky-beak.

PlanB, do the runner entries have a decent radius to them? When you extend them do they choke flow as they get close to plenum lid? In other words did you test intake on flow bench? I am just curious about why more and more people feel they dont have proper manifold coverage with LS6 intake. You have to have specific requirements to benefit from something like this sheet metal intake. Resonance tuning from all other components in engine will have to be changed when making this type of intake work. You could wear out motor on dyno with out proper attack plan IMO.

I agree. Perhaps when I have finished, I’ll agree even more so! It can be a bit like studying Philosophy, It will never get you a decent job but at least you’ll understand why. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
I'll just give it a go.

Well people i see carbon fiber in this last picture so if you think aftermarket aluminum LS1 intakes are pricey, you better sit down before you hear what one of these would cost to duplicate! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !

Plan B where did you get this pic? And more importantly, where can I get the intake? Thanks.

that is a piece of art right there man. that's unbelievable even! very nice, i bet you could make alot of money off of that intake if it performs well. as for price though i bet you could keep the cost down for the people who don't want carbon fiber though. again very nice work and i hope you see gains from it, that's alot of work for nothing to happen.

that looks like the callaway prototype intake.
probably alot cheaper than the C5R racing CF intake with 8 tbs.
nice
