Ses light,does it retard timing?

Ses light,does it retard timing? I always wanted to know if the ses light actually meant that the computer was taking away timing from our cars.If so then I need some o2 simulators but if not then I will live with it.Besides everyone here knows that the ses light means that the car is running better ha ha ha.Thanx everyone.
