man I'm in the same boat. But looking for bigger than that. I can tell you that I had a tr230/224 and it was awsome. I loved the low end power it made.
My car dyno'd 390RWHP with all the bolt ons and open cut out. Closed it made 385rwhp.

Is this a DD?

I've got a 224/224 114 LSA in my LS6 (Z06). With headers/vararam and tune it makes 393 RWHP. It's pretty mild, but works well. Good low end/drivability/idle.

I would get the 224/224 @ 112 grind, will make more low end power comprared to the same cam at a 114 duration.

224/224 - I'd probably go bigger.

I have a Tsp 231/237. I drive mine everyday. I love it. Nasty lope and pulls really good from 3500+up. It all matters with the tune.

hey man i was in the same position as you about a month ago. I was ready to order the Tr224/224 on a 114 lsa, before i ordered i decided to post up and get some other peoples opinions. Of coarse i got talked and persuaded into going a little bit bigger with the Tr230/224 on a 111 lsa. I could not be any happier with this cam. Its a great DD cam that makes awesome power, and my car isnt even tuned yet. its going in on the 17th, i cant wait to see what kinda power ill make!
Trust me, go a little bit bigger then what you think you want, you wont regret it!

i believe thats a common misconception,... the 114 should make more low end power because it has less valve overlap

A 233/239 with a decent tune would be no problem as a DD

Ill make a video tonight of my Tr224 on a 112. Its a great cam for a daily driver. Mines coming out for a more aggressive cam. Im trying to get a little more serious at the track.
Im installing a customer comp grind that my local speed shop and tuner recomended. Its a 238/242,.600/.610 on a 114+4. Should work well with my new auto setup and spray.

Here is the sound clip of my TR224 on an advertised 112lsa. It actually was cam doctored and showed 111.5lsa. I opened the cutout mid video. Enjoy and hope this helps.
