Default Thinking about hooker headers? Track gains inside!!!

Guys I went to the track today and let me tell you this is not a track that is meant for anything else but a slick.

My previous best at Capitol with lid, !maf, maf translator, no muffler exhaust (3 inch I pipe), and STB (doesne't help), Bolt on frame connectors, and panhard bar with a 2.1 60' was 13.00 at 108. I like the way this track hooks with F1s

My best today was 13.00 at 111 (2.2 60') with the only change being headers and 3 inch y with 3 inch I pipe to single Delta 40 series flowmaster. Think its got 12s in it .

Can you say time for drag radials .

P.S. The no header runs were at 12000 miles and the header runs were with 17000 miles.

By the end of the day supposedly a guy is suppose to get back to me about selling some zr1s (9.5s and 11s) with 315 nittos in the back. If I can't hook with those then I imagine I better stop trying. ET streets are probably a little much on the old 7.5 rear.

Looks like 2 tenths and 2 or 3 MPH to me considering the 60ft time. Good gain for the money

how is the fit of those hooker headers? spark plug clearance? any problems installing? i've been looking at them as a cheaper alternative to the FLP's, Grots, etc... i just can't bring myself to spend that much on a set of headers! i only have minor bolt ons anyway...

I just put my hookers on a few weekends ago, and last weekend I went to the track w/open headers. My previous best was a 13.38@105.59w/a 2.08 60', w/ no headers on stock ypipe, w/ the headers I pulled a 12.94@111.49 w/a 2.16 60' I must say that I am very impressed w/ the headers.
I have a 2000 and the air did not fit, so we just got some extra hose and made it fit. The EGR was another story, it didnt seal properly and threw a code, so we deleted the code until I can get a 98-99 egr.
