anyone with mac headers, ORPY, and o2 sims?
looking into getting a header setup and was curious as to what the mac header set up sounds like with a loudmouth (louder the better) and what type of gains should i expect (roughly)? also, is this header any good compared to the FLP, hooker, JBA? keep in mind im not trying to break the bank and i want the best bang for the buck! TIA!

That would be a waaay loud setup! Too loud in my opinion. Average gains for MAC w/off road are 15-20 rwhp. It's a good bang-for-buck mod, but will be rapsy with the loudmouth. I did have a Flowmaster collector welded in, which helped to minimize the drone. I have the Hooker cat-back.
raspy=atomic fart
it is a nasty sound at about 2100-2500 rpms. The y-pipe without cats make this ungodly noise for some reason. You can get rid of it by buying 2 dynomax bullet mufflers and welding them where the cats would be.

i also plan on lowering the car about 1.5 inches, does this affect my decision with the mac's? i know flps are probably what i should go with, but i just dont have the funds for it.
