Default 02 LS6 Head Question

Im looking into getting some LS6 heads off an 02 Z06. A friend of mine told me that the 02 Ls6 cam was different than other years and therefore the valves were longer or different? And due to the valves being different Id have to run different length pushrods than what I have now which are the 7.400. Is this true or could I just bolt the heads on and run them with my current pushrods?? Please let me know any info is appreciated.

The sodium filled valves on a Z06 are longer than LS1 valves .023' Since you have a cam with smaller base circle you can reuse the 7.400. Only difference is you preload will increase a little.

would the preload change enough to affect anything?? or would I have to change to a longer or shorter pushrod. this is with a 232 228 cam and currently have 7.400 pushrods.
