Default TB Bypass

Is it worth putting a TB bypass on if you have a 160 thermostat w/ the fan switch?

I did it because it was cheap and easy. Some argue whether or not it will do anything for you, but being able to put my hand on the TB even after the car was run for over an hour has to mean something. I would think that a hot TB would heat up the air much like a hairdryer's heating element and rob you of HP. Couldn't hurt to try it unless you live in an area prone to freezing all the time.
