Annoying Ticking @ 2600 I have this really annoying ticking sound that only shows its UGLY face around 2600 rpm's, its can be heard inside the car while accelerating. And its not that rasp noise that LS1's have. Its not the rockers. Already pulled valve covers and all 16 are fine. My thought is the lifters maybe, cause I'm getting some ticking around where the intake seals against the heads. Is this normal? I dont have a whole lot more hair to pull out to any suggestions are welcome.
