Default Need assistance on forced induction camshaft

Hi,

In the near future I am going to get a forced induction setup for my car. In the meantime while money is tight, I would like to get started at some point so I thought a cam would be a good choice. Since I have decided to go this route (forced induction) what kind of cam parameters should I be looking for.

So far it is my understanding that wide lobe centers(little valve overlap) is desired. Is this correct? What about lift? Duration?
What about split lift, duration>? or just a standard design.

I got a 219/224 cam with a 114LSA for my powerdyne on an A4, I think the conventional wisdom is get a higher exhaust duration than intake for forced induction....

219/224/114 was as "wild" as I wanted to get, but then again I'm a pretty mild kinda guy....

The 218/224 comp cams is a good one. I also have it for sell in the classifieds section if you are interested in it.

LOTS!!!!!!!

I just figured that in the interem this would be a good mod to do and it isn't as expensive for the time being and that when I get the system I want it would help. I know when you are going to forced induction that usually the stock components are adequate.

However...I want something to do now.
