Default ls1 engine cover question

Did the rear engine covers change from with the 98 blocks when they changed to the newer design block, or are they the same oiling on the 2000 covers. I have a 98 cover I believe and now they had problems with oil passages on them, so if the cover is not the same I need to get the new one.
Thanks

the covers are the same the problem was the block itself. You can open up the channel in the cover a little bit if you have a steady hand. I took my old gasket used it as a guide to open up the channel on the cover then made a new mating channel in the block.

ROCNDAV - Any pictures of the mods you did? I have a '98 block and want to do as much as possible to help with the oil return problem before I put it together.

I'll check at work tomorrow, I know I've posted some pics before from work. My block is a 97 Vette block.
