no more ac delco ultragold series oil filters?
I was using the ultragold series upf 58 with 6 quarts of oil and pep boys told me they aren't carrying them anymore since people complained about the price. so which oil filter can I use that is the same size as the UPF 58 ultragold? should i go back to the stock size with the 5.5 quarts? <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

They stopped production of all Ultraguard filters except for the UPF44. An alternative to the UPF58 is the Mobil 1 part number M1-206.

The Mobil 1 filters are excellent filters, quite a few LS1 owners have used them for many years now. They filter down to 10 microns, while a regular AC Delco Duraguard's rating is 25 microns. The Ultraguard's rating is 8 microns.
