This weekends project involved swapping LS6 valvesprings onto my 01 C5.
I just got through torquing the rockers to spec in the proper sequence (I thought). I turned the motor over a few times and retorqued, then repeated again. Everything set to 22 ft-lbs.
I buttoned everything up and started the car. I could hear loud tapping from the rockers. I let the car idle for 1 min, and it quieted down a little, but it still doesn't seem right.
I pulled it back apart, and everything looks fine. Rechecked the torque and all were 22 ft-lbs. I did replace the pushrods when I was in there. Will it take time for the oil to pressure up? Thanks

From what I have seen it takes a little time, but my installers pour oil over the rocker arms and stuff and then put the valve cover back on.
