I'm interested to the see the results. Too bad you are changing converters at the same time.

I'm doing the cam swap first since my converter isn't in yet.

But u still havent answered my orig. question.
Why did u blast me a couple weeks ago for building a supposed race car and then do the same darn thing to your car?Maybe u should think about that one.

My car still has AC, interior, airbags, power steering, quiet exhaust, etc. I drive it around 800-1000 miles per week and will continue to do so. My car has never been on a trailor. 5 degrees of cam duration isn't going to make a big difference in terms of streetability, and if it does I'll throw the old cam back in. Maybe I should try your 216/220 (cough 218/224 cough) camshaft?

My car as it sits runs almost 2 mph more than your pig with the TR cam/JPR heads. The only reason you had a better ET was because you were able to cut a 1.50 60' time with that huge stall. Unlike other guys on here who just bitch about things like that, I decided to drop $1000 on the large stall and see what it does for me.

ps- Terry, are you running a 12bolt now?
I think a 4.30 gear would work well in that combo you have now.

Not yet, still a 10 bolt with 4.10s. When that breaks my spare 10 bolt has 3.23s... I picked up almost no ET going from 3.23s -> 4.10s with a 3800rpm stall (but 3mph!), so with this new bigger stall I doubt gearing will matter much.

Haha.

Terry's getting nervous that he's going to get his *** handed to him this weekend. Jeez, and I'm only running the ORIGINAL MMS224, .535 lift, low ramp rates and all. Terry, now I KNOW you KNOW that I'm going to go 11.50's at LACR. (2700ft.) Make sure and get those results posted, I may need a 229 by this weekend as well.

I'm not willing to take off my AC or remove my catback system at the track, so I have to stay competative some how. The larger cam and smaller stall might turn out to be a great Carlsbad (no traction) combo.
