Default Cams? Numbers? Stop the Insanity!!!!

Ok.. I have a very basic understanding of Cams... duration, lift, etc...

But I don't quite understand how they relate to power...

Does anyone have a FAQ or guide to CamShaft selection?

About the only thing I have a good understanding of is cams where the exhaust duration is longer than intake duration are better for nitrous...

Thanks
Mike

LIFT ALLOWS THE VALVES TO STAY OPEN LONGER (THE HIGHER THE LIFT) AND DURATION IS THE RATE THAT THE OPEN AT.
HOW IT ALL RELATES TO POWER IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER, THERE ARE GRAPHS SHOWING GOOD NUMBERS WITH SMALL LIFT/DUARATION AS WELL AS SMALL. GOTTA USE UR JUDGEMENT TO WHICH WILL SUIT U BETTER.
