My cam's a 228/228 .588/.588 112 and i don't have any problems here. check out the cam guide and it'll probably help you out a lil more. Then call a shop to tell them what you're looking for and they could make a custom cam for you. That's probably the best thing you can do. Everyone has their own opinion though on what cams aren't bad for a daily driver. Some may even say TRex isn't too bad, but i'd rather not try it.

I wouldnt worry about the biggest cam that you can stuff into a stock ls1. I would worry however about "when do you have to start watching Piston to valve clearence based off cam size?"

i came across this thread and must say I laughed my butt off. I only laugh cause thats almost what I am looking for. Except with me I want
The biggest cam for a stock ls1 stock head and yes I will use it as a DD, and no i could careless how rough it idles. Cause thats what I want. More mods later to come. but for now Biggest cam for stock LS1 motor![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
So with reading all the post would it be safe to say that a T-Rex cam will work just fine or a custom grind with similiar specs to a T-Rex?

Vengeance Vindicator is a 240/244 .605/.596 112 LSA. The lift is is a little lower making it more DD (mileage) friendly on springs than some cams. You can get it on a 110 LSA all the way through a 116 LSA. Advertised powerband is 2400rpm-7000rpm so it apparently has a little better low end than the Trex.
Their biggest off the shelf cam is the VRX7 which is a 244/248 .612/.598 112 LSA. It says it is designed for stroker applications so I don't know if it would fit in a bone stock LS1.

biggest cam doesnt not always mean the RIGHT cam...
its all about the combo... while everyone's listening to your huge *** MSwhatever, TRex, Vindicator whatever car idle like ****... someone's most likely gonna smoke your *** with a 230 or smaller cam if its tuned and setup properly with the right supporting mods... I'm telling you this from experience...
