What happens if you drill the T-body too much?
I noticed on mine (after I already drilled the bottom hole <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0"> )
That there is another hole on the top side of the T-body that I didnt see.

What are the ill effects of drilling it out too much?
I can always throw in another blade if I went to large but my wife has our laptop with her and I can't check it till Monday.
Thanks,
Chris

Your IAC count can go zero, rendering it useless in controlling idle speed and cause the idle speed to go above your desired setting. Could get an SES code.

The car will also pull more when coasting, because it will make a little more power.

You can weld up the extra hole or plug it with JB Weld. I'd feel safer welding it.

Replacement blades are hard to find, probably best looking for a core/junk yard unit.

YOu could also use a pop rivet(correct size) that would be safe and would still leave you with a hole when finished.

You can JB weld the hole and start over.

IMO idle might be a bit high and the IAC will do less work.

I have a very big hole in mine, but i have a 242 duration cam.

See after I drilled it my idle in neutral is about 1300rpm and 1000rpm in gear and pretty smooth. (No surging or anything.)

Did you guys have two holes to start with or one?
Will I be down on power in any way from the IAC counts being at one? Or just have to live with a higher idle? I might not screw with it if it isnt going to hurt me ET/mph wise.
thanks again,
Chris

I dont see how it could hurt times if Iac count is off but it would set SES light.

Brass rivet with hole would do the trick. Just find the right size.
