Default wich heads for my 408??

what heads sould i run on my 408? i want aftermarket heads because of the thick decks.which heads should i use tfs, afr, or tea stage 3 darts? this is a heavy nitrous motor and i plan on getting a custom cam from cam motion to match the setup.

The reason for these heads is they are all in about the same price range and all have made decent power. havent really seen alot about ETP.

Of those I would most likely choose the TFS's. However, I would most likely choose none of the above but instead go with the L92's, (granted that is a factory casting) or maybe check into some of the other head options using the LS7 style intake manifolds.

i believe a 4.030 bore is too small for the 2.20 valve in the ls7 head. not for sure though.

ETP makes a LS7 head for the 4.0 bore. Those are the heads I'm putting on my 408. They are expensive but when you factor in that the LS7 intake is far less expensive then the fast 90 (and flows better) then cost becomes compairable to other head/intake combos.

I did a lot of research and talked things over with Cary @ ETP as well as Mike @ New Era Performance. The general concensus was that we don't see any other heads/intake combo out performing the ETP LS7 heads and LS7 intake on a 408 setup.

If the combo was N/A, turbo or supercharged I would say TFS...since it is heavy nitrous you need intake port volume and a nasty exhaust port....flip a coin.
Better yet, maybe someday we will get the TFS 240 finished and it will be a no brainer.

I know I'm going with Brian's stage 3 241 or 243 casting heads.
